Belarus will check the combat readiness of its armed forces

The Armed Forces of Belarus began checking their combat readiness, reported press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.

“Today, on the instructions of the head of state – the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, the next stage of checking the combat readiness of the armed forces has begun,” the message says.

The events will be led by the State Secretariat of the Security Council of the Republic. During the inspection, troops will march to designated areas and meet combat training standards. At the same time, it is planned to test military and special equipment with control runs.

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus clarified that military equipment and personnel will move along public roads in the Minsk and Vitebsk regions, and aviation will be used to support the ground forces.

September 17, the President of Belarus statedthat war on the territory of the republic is impossible under modern conditions. At the same time, at negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi on September 15, he said that the West “sleeps and sees” how to send its regular troops to the combat zone in Ukraine.

At the beginning of September in Belarus passed joint operational-strategic exercises of the CSTO “Combat Brotherhood – 2023”. The events took place from September 1 to 6 at training grounds in the Brest, Grodno and Minsk regions. Contingents from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan took part in the exercises.
