Belarus has restricted entry for Polish trucks and tractors. This was reported by the press service of the government of the republic.

“The government decree was adopted in connection with the closure by the Polish side from February 10, 2023 of the Bobrovniki road checkpoint (the adjacent Belarusian Berestovitsa),” says in the message.

Now, trucks registered in Poland are only allowed to carry out cargo operations and transfers through the Belarusian-Polish section of the border. This can be done at the checkpoints “Kozlovichi” (Belarusian-Polish section), “Privalka” and “Benyakoni” (Belarusian-Lithuanian section), as well as at the customs clearance point “Berestovitsa-TLC” and the waiting area for entering the checkpoint ” Berestovitsa”.

The resolution was signed by the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko. The document comes into force from the day of its publication, the report says.

Poland made the decision to close the border crossing with Belarus in Bobrovniki last week, on February 9. The Minister of Internal Affairs of the country, Mariusz Kaminski, explained such a measure by the interests of state security.

On February 15, Lithuania also announced the suspension of freight rail transport through the Stasilos checkpoint. The border committee of Belarus clarified that the movement will resume after the installation of the X-ray control system.

The next day Lithuania notified Border Committee of Belarus on the termination of the uninterrupted flow of transport across the border of countries. The Lithuanian security service did not indicate the reasons for this decision. The agreement between the countries has been in force since November 4, 2019.
