Belarus approved an agreement on a common industrial policy with Russia

The Council of Ministers of Belarus has approved an intergovernmental agreement on a common industrial policy with Russia. The agreement between the governments of the two countries was signed on 15 February.
Decree Council of Ministers signed by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to send a notification about the implementation by Belarus of “domestic procedures necessary for the entry into force of the agreement.”
Mr. Golovchenko previously called for “leveling the playing field” for the enterprises of the two countries, speeding up the implementation of agreements on a common industrial policy and the creation of legal mechanisms for the recognition of technological operations. Also, the Belarusian prime minister urged “not to scatter finances, not to create duplicate productions.”
