China explained its absence from conferences on resolving the conflict in Ukraine by the fact that only one side’s plan was discussed at them. This was announced by the country’s envoy for Eurasian affairs, Li Hui.
According to him, the non-participation of the PRC is due to the fact that another side to the conflict was not present at the conferences and the plan of only one was discussed.
Li Hui noted that meetings at which the position of only one side is discussed will not lead to a resolution of the conflict. The diplomat called for an international peace conference, in which Ukraine and Russia will take part.
