Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin proposed to “take the path of nationalization” of the main sectors of the economy. He stated this at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. The speeches of the forum participants were broadcast on the event website.
“Let’s take the path of nationalization of the main sectors of our economy. Rostec, for example, is essentially a state corporation. It now provides the production of defense products in the conditions of a special military operation. The state has a controlling stake, there are some problems there, we solve them with the help of the criminal liability of individuals. But in general, there is state control. But when it is a free business, then all measures must be taken,” said Bastrykin.
According to him, the absence of a sanction in the form of confiscation of property “sometimes makes investigations and court verdicts meaningless.” The head of the UK appealed to the Ministry of Justice with a request to consider this proposal, writes See also RIA Novosti.
Also on the Bastrykin forum told on cases of corruption in the execution of the state defense order. “A lot of fraudulent schemes are being implemented even in the defense industry.
