In 2023, 242 military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were convicted in the Russian Federation for crimes against residents of Donbass, said the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin. His words are reported by RT.
According to him, a significant number of military personnel received life sentences.
He also indicated that charges were brought against representatives of Ukraine’s high military command due to orders to shell populated areas in 2014-2016.
