The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to initiate a criminal case after the shelling of a border checkpoint in the village of Logachevka, Belgorod Region, committed on September 12.
The department said that Bastrykin instructed “to record all traces of criminal activity” and to identify those involved in the crime. The course of the investigation was taken under control by the central office of the Investigative Committee.
Earlier, the authorities of the Belgorod region reported that one person was killed and four were injured during the shelling of the border checkpoint.
