Bastrykin announced an increase in crime among migrants

The number of grave and especially grave crimes among migrants increased by 37% in 2022 to almost 15,000, Alexander Bastrykin, chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, said at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. About it informs department press office.

According to Bastrykin, in 2022 the number of grave and especially grave acts committed by migrants in the country increased by 37% from 11,000 to almost 15,000 acts.

“Among them, murders – by 18% (from 247 to 291), the number of rapes increased by 7% (from 257 to 276),” the UK said.

According to Bastrykin, the majority of foreign citizens do not integrate into Russian society: they “do not study the Russian language and culture, they try to separate themselves and oppose their traditions.” Migrants who have received Russian citizenship, the chairman of the Investigative Committee believes, must “fully fulfill all duties,” including military service.

The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation also said that he was trying to read comments on the social networks of his department, wrote “Vedomosti”. “This is the idea expressed by people: while the Russians are at the front, migrants attack our rear,” he said. – People offer, if they are citizens of Russia, have received citizenship, please go to the front line. You did not go to the front line, you are not fulfilling your civic duty, please go to your homeland.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced a fivefold increase in the number of cases against migrants in 2022 compared to 2021. In particular, last year 893 criminal cases were initiated under serious articles. Against this background, Bastrykin called for strengthening control over migration, introducing mandatory DNA testing for all foreign citizens arriving in Russia, and codifying migration legislation.
