Russian troops withdrew from the village of Rabotina in the Zaporozhye region, occupying the hills, declared Acting Governor of the region Yevgeny Balitsky on the air of Solovyov Live.

“The Russian army left, tactically left this settlement, because to stay on a bare plane, when there is no way to dig in and create a more or less safe area for themselves. The Russian army retreated to the hills,” he said.

Balitsky also noted that as a result of the fighting, Rabotino remained essentially only on the map. The acting head of the region also noted that the position of the Russian military on the hill is now more advantageous compared to the enemy “in the funnel”.

September 4 Ministry of Defense reportedthat the Russian troops continued to improve the tactical situation in the areas of the villages of Rabotino and Verbovoye of the Zaporozhye region and repelled the counterattack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the military department, the enemy lost more than 115 servicemen per day. September 5 military declared about repelling two attacks of the 47th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Rabotino area. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that on September 3 alone, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost six tanks in the Rabota direction.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the capture of Rabotin at the end of August, but the Russian side refuted this information, reporting on the continuation of the fighting.
