The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have few resources for an offensive on the left bank of the Dnieper, declared Acting Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo in his Telegram channel.

According to him, “propagandists” are spreading rumors about the alleged offensive, and the Ukrainian military has “little combat-ready forces on the right bank,” since all free reserves are sent to Artemivsk (Ukrainian name is Bakhmut).

“The movement of at least some significant detachments or equipment on the right bank of the Dnieper is immediately noticed by our air, technical and other types of intelligence, control is carried out literally in real time. There is no specific preparation for the offensive, and they spread rumors as misinformation in order to sow panic among the population, and also in vain trying to deceive our military,” Saldo assured.

The acting governor added that the Russian side is monitoring the transfer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the right bank of the Dnieper “certain types of special equipment and units” and putting in order the roads coming from the north, which can be used to transfer troops. According to Saldo, if the Armed Forces of Ukraine begin preparations for crossing the Dnieper, the Russian military “will know about it in advance” and will be ready for this.

On March 10, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Stampa toldthat the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine could begin within the next two months.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
