Azerbaijan’s Shusha hosts Global Media Forum

The global forum “New Media in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution” is taking place these days in the city of Shusha. The event is attended by 150 media representatives from 49 countries, including representatives of state news agencies from 34 countries, 12 international organizations and media structures. Russia is represented by TASS First Deputy Director General Mikhail Gusman, Deputy Director General of MK Publishing House Oleg Vorobyov, political scientist Sergei Markov, military expert Igor Korotchenko and others.
On the first day of the forum, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with media representatives, who noted the high role of Russia in establishing peace in Nagorno-Karabakh. Within the framework of the forum, leaders of well-known and influential world media outlets, together with experts, will discuss new tools in journalism and communication in the digital age, digital transformation, media management in the modern information environment and the creation of sustainable business models in the media sphere, consumer trends and media literacy issues, methods of combating disinformation and fake news, the safety of journalists and other topics.
The forum will end its work on Sunday, July 23.
