Azerbaijan plans to allocate about $10 million for the restoration of Ukraine

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced the republic’s intention to allocate about $10 million for the restoration of Ukraine, writes Interfax.
“Azerbaijan plans to continue to contribute to the efforts to restore and reconstruct Ukraine, in particular, by sending electrical equipment and implementing reconstruction projects in the city of Irpin. The total amount of this assistance will be at least $10 million,” the minister said at the conference on the restoration of Ukraine, which is taking place in London.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan informed, that within the framework of the conference, Bayramov held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba, where the minister announced Azerbaijan’s intention to continue “humanitarian assistance in connection with the crisis around Ukraine.” In addition, according to statement Minister, Azerbaijan has provided humanitarian assistance to Ukraine in the amount of more than $20 million since the beginning of the special operation.
Last December, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry announced the shipment of 45 power transformers and 50 generators to Ukraine. After that, TASS, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry informedthat the transfer of transformers and generators by Azerbaijan to Ukraine causes bewilderment in Moscow.
A source in the Foreign Ministry then noted that as part of a special operation, the Russian army is destroying the critical infrastructure of Ukraine, which is used by the “Kyiv regime for military needs.” “Azerbaijani supplies, which are unlikely to fundamentally change the situation, do not amount to humanitarian aid,” the agency’s interlocutor noted at the time.
