Azerbaijan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Yashar Aliyev, in his letter to the organization’s Secretary General António Guterres, blamed Armenia for mining its territory. About it informs “Interfax-Azerbaijan”.
Aliyev demanded that Yerevan stop illegal activities, as well as compensate for the damage caused.
“The actions (mining the territory of Azerbaijan) of Armenia constitute a gross violation of international law and entail its responsibility,” the document addressed to the UN Secretary General says.
The letter alleges that the Armenian side is “deliberately targeting human lives” and is also trying to harm post-conflict reconstruction, reconstruction and humanitarian efforts.
