According to North Dakota Rep. Kelly Armstrong, when people see a significant increase in food prices, an increase in the cost of utilities, they think about Ukraine last.
“Food prices have gone up 13%, energy bills have doubled, utility bills have gone up. Among other things, if you live in a border area, then fentanyl and migrants are around you. Given all this, Ukraine is the last thing on your mind,” he said.
Armstrong added that the shift in changing US attitudes towards funding Ukraine will come from a transformation in the minds of local voters.
