There are no grounds for installing automatic cameras to record traffic violations on the Central Ring Road (TsKAD), Vyacheslav Petushenko, chairman of the board of the Avtodor state company, said in an interview with Kommersant.
“The network of the state-owned company is growing every year, the traffic intensity is increasing, while the number of accidents with fatalities this year is 21% lower on the entire network, not only on the Central Ring Road,” he said. — So while there are no bases to enter photofixation of violations. When drivers start acting out, when there are massive accidents, I will be the first to install such cameras on the Central Ring Road.”
Previously, as mentioned “b”, the Moscow City Hall asked Avtodor to install cameras on one of the sections of the Central Ring Road (passing through Moscow) to reduce accidents. As a result, Mr. Petushenko told Kommersant, an agreement was signed between state-owned companies and Moscow to install only surveillance cameras.
