At the Maldivian resort of Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives you will not get bored

In terms of the number of luxury resorts, Baa Atoll in the Maldives has few rivals. This is due both to its extremely good location – just a half-hour seaplane flight from Male, and the diversity of marine life: part of the atoll is a biosphere reserve, home to more than 250 species of corals, sea turtles, manta rays and whale sharks.

The Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives Resort occupies four picturesque islands connected by a sandbar in the southwestern part of Baa (the word “finolhu” is translated from the Dhivehi language as “sandbar”). 125 villas (more than half with their own pools) stretched out in a chain along the snow-white beach. At the opposite end of the island in a secluded part of the resort is the most unusual Villa Beach Bubble: two transparent domes, inside which are the bedroom and living room (the third, opaque sphere is occupied by a shower and toilet). A place of honor in the bedroom is occupied by a telescope – to study the endless starry sky. In addition to the obvious snorkeling, diving, sea cruises and fishing, the list of local activities also includes more extreme ones, such as flying over water on X-Jet Blade boards.

Those who stayed on the beach can play tennis, go in for fitness and yoga, go for Ayurvedic treatments at Fehi Spa or attend drawing and pottery classes at an art studio. The gastronomic program is also designed so as not to let you get bored. An international restaurant is open by the main pool all day, the Milk Lab snack bar hides among tropical greenery with homemade ice cream, desserts and vegan sandwiches, and Crab Shack awaits guests on a sandbank. The Japanese Kanusan and the Oriental Arabian Grill are open for dinner only, and like the best restaurants, it’s best to book in advance during the high season.
