First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Andrei Turchak announced the end of the autumn session in the upper house of parliament. At the last meeting, the Federation Council considered 75 laws.
“The Federation Council approved several important laws. Including initiatives on priority enrollment of SVO participants and their children in colleges, protection of residents of apartment buildings from unscrupulous management companies, the right of private security at fuel and energy complex facilities to shoot down drones and a number of others,” Mr. Turchak wrote in Telegram channel about the laws approved today.
At the last meeting of the autumn session, senators also adopted laws on extending credit holidays for mobilized, volunteer formations of the Russian Guard and improving the process of forming long-term savings for citizens. Senator Olga Shchetinina was included in the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture, it says message upper house of parliament.
Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko summed up the work of the House of Parliament in 2023 at a press conference on December 21. She said that she did not see the prerequisites for ending the conflict on the territory of Ukraine, and assured that the upcoming presidential elections would be held in conditions of complete “internal legitimacy.”
