During his visit to the international energy conference CERAWeek in Houston, Assistant to the German Chancellor for Economic Affairs Joerg Kukis spoke about the difficulties that the German economy faced against the background of the rejection of Russian energy sources.

According to him, the refusal to supply gas from the Russian Federation has become a “huge stress” for the country.

“More than half of the volumes (of gas purchased from the Russian Federation – editor’s note) came from Germany, so it is obvious that it was very difficult to replace it,” the expert admitted.
