Artilleryman told how to deceive the enemy in the NVO zone

“The desire to attack in our direction, we definitely repulsed them”

The Ukrainian army daily makes unsuccessful attempts to break through the front during the counteroffensive, throwing its soldiers against Russian fortifications even without artillery support. Fighting on the front line, the commander of an artillery regiment with the call sign “Associate Professor”, awarded four orders of courage, named several tactics to deceive the enemy.

On the air of the Full Contact with Vladimir Solovyov program, the Associate Professor, using the example of a recent battle, told how Russian troops were depleting the forces of the Ukrainian army: “Yesterday and the day before yesterday, the Ukrainians again tried to break through – it felt like more than two thousand soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were coming at us in all directions . Before the start of the battle, our regiment hid its positions in a timely manner and dispersed the guns at a distance of about 500 meters. At about five o’clock, we discovered the Ukrainians and in just half an hour we hit them with all our might.”

The commander of the artillery regiment explained the reasons for the effectiveness of the strike: “The enemy batteries did not work, since we hit their guns in a timely manner. As a result, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had to attack us without the help of their artillery. Thanks to this, we relatively easily destroyed a large number of equipment and personnel of the enemy. I think we definitely beat off the desire to attack in our direction for some time. ”

The “Associate Professor” said that at the front, artillerymen attach great importance to misleading the enemy. One way to force the Armed Forces to waste precious ammunition, which they constantly lack, is to create false command posts and firing positions.

“Recently, our engineers,” he said, “camouflaged an old abandoned house, in disrepair, in the form of a headquarters: they hung antennas, pulled a network. As a result, on June 11, that is, the day before yesterday, three rockets flew there: the house was completely razed to the ground.

According to the commander of an artillery regiment, it is vital to create false firing positions at the front: “It is very simple. All you need is to move away, light a fire and throw a couple of shells into it. The Ukrainians see the smoke and think that we just fired from there.”

And this is just one of the ways to leave the enemy without NATO ammunition.

After that, Associate Professor told how Ukrainian engineers work in creating false points: “I have seen this picture many times: the autumn period, the trees are bare, and there are four rockets in the field under a bright green camouflage net. So, they are waiting for us to hit there. Compare the price of a cheap wooden frame and the cost of a 152-mm projectile or loitering ammunition “Lancet” yourself … “
