Armored vehicles may be used to evacuate residents of Shebekin

During the evacuation of residents of the Shebekinsky district, armored vehicles may be involved. About it declared Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

“If there is a need for urgent evacuation, we will drive the protected equipment to your homes. We do not publish gathering places, because they can be a target for those people who are now shooting at civilians, at children,” he said in his video message on the Telegram channel.

The governor added that the evacuation would continue “as soon as [ситуация] will calm down,” and noted that all temporary accommodation centers (TAPs) are ready.

On May 31, the Governor announced the preparation of a TAP for residents of the Belgorod Region Lipetsk region Igor Artamonov and Governor Voronezh region Alexander Gusev. On the same day, Gladkov announced the evacuation of the children of the Shebekinsky and Grayvoronsky districts. On May 31, the first 300 children left for Voronezh. According to the Belgorod governor, today another 200 people will be transported to Penza, and on Saturday, June 3, 600 people will be sent to Kaluga and Yaroslavl.

Over the past week, shelling of the territory of the Belgorod region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine has become more frequent. Earlier Gladkov in his Telegram channel declaredthat on May 30, 215 shells of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were fired at the Shebekinsky urban district. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and two were injured. Arrivals were also recorded in the settlements of Novaya Tavolzhanka, Arkhangelskoye, Terezovka, Stadnikov, Murom, Balki, Pervomaisky, Meshkovoe, Grafovka and Bezlyudovka, the governor added.
