Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturian approved the ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC). This was reported on the president’s website.
“On October 13, the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturian signed the law on the ratification of the Rome Statute,” the statement says.
The ratification law was previously passed by the country’s parliament.
Let us remind you that the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin previously called the order void from a legal point of view. The Russian Foreign Ministry considered Armenia’s decision to ratify the statute “an absolutely unfriendly step.”
