Armenia received 28,120 internally displaced persons from Karabakh

Already 28,120 internally displaced persons have entered the territory of Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh as of 20:00 (19:00 Moscow time) on September 26. About it reported government of Armenia.

“Registration data for 20,800 of them has already been compiled, and the needs of 7,320 individuals are still being identified,” the government added.

3,253 people were provided with housing. 1,305 of them were stationed in Syunik, 700 in Vayots Dzor, 833 in Gegharkunik, 268 in Tavush, 147 in Armavir.

On September 19, Azerbaijan announced the start of “anti-terrorist measures” in Nagorno-Karabakh. Baku demanded the dissolution of the regional government and the withdrawal of Armenian troops. On September 20, Karabakh authorities announced a complete ceasefire. September 21 in Yevlakh presented plan for the reintegration of the population of Karabakh.
