The chemical plant “Stirol” came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). As a result of the strikes, the plant for the production of nitric acid was severely damaged. This was announced by the mayor of Gorlovka Ivan Prikhodko in his Telegram channel.
“Ukrainian neo-Nazis fired at the Stirol State Unitary Enterprise (Kalinin district of Gorlovka) at night, as a result of which the nitric acid production workshop was severely damaged, and the flare stack was partially destroyed,” the report says.
He also added that as a result of a direct hit by a Ukrainian shell in the plant, the administrative building of the power supply shop was also damaged.
It is worth noting that the city is located 50 km north of Donetsk, which was repeatedly attacked by the Armed Forces of Ukraine from artillery.
