Armed Forces of Belarus plan to exchange experience with PMC “Wagner”

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced its intention to exchange experience with units of the Wagner PMC after their arrival in the republic, reported in the Telegram channel of the defense department.

“After the arrival of representatives of PMC “Wagner” and their dispersal at the training grounds for training and mutual exchange of experience, it is planned to pay special attention to the methods and methods of conducting combat operations by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus,” the message says.

On the night of June 24, PMC Wagner, led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, attempted an armed rebellion in Russia. As the founder of the PMC previously stated, the fighters had 200 km to go to Moscow. After negotiations with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Prigozhin decided to stop the movement to the capital and return to the rear camps of PMCs. The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, specified that the criminal case initiated against Prigozhin would be terminated, and he himself “would go to Belarus.”

On June 27, Lukashenka said that Prigozhin had arrived in Belarus. At the same time, the president explained what he sees as the benefits of deploying the Wagner PMC in the country. “They will tell you about weapons: which worked well, which did not. And tactics, and weapons, and how to attack, how to defend. It’s priceless. This is what we need to take from the Wagnerites,” Lukashenka clarified.

On July 6, Lukashenka said that Prigozhin was not in Belarus now, but the Wagner fighters were in their camps in Russia. On July 10, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that on June 29, Vladimir Putin met in the Kremlin with the commanders and leadership of the Wagner PMC, including Prigozhin.
