Japanese makeup artist Hiromi Ueda has become Armani Beauty’s new global makeup artist, replacing Linda Cantello, who has held the position since 2009.
“What fascinates me about Hiromi Ueda is her innate sense of proportion and balance, her grace, which translates into powerful creative expression,” said Giorgio Armani. “I find inner strength in her subtle use of color and ability to make the face glow with just a few skillful strokes. I extend my special thanks to Linda Cantello for her many years of close collaboration and for her dedication and vision, which I have always admired.”
Ueda worked with the designer for six months as a guest makeup artist on the latest Armani Priv couture and Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani shows, and her work has appeared in publications such as French, Italian and British Vogue, iD, Dazed, AnOther and Mastermind.
