Argentine President Miley will call a referendum if parliament rejects his reforms

Argentine President Javier Miley, in a conversation with the newspaper La Nación, said that he is ready to bring his radical reforms to the attention of citizens if parliament votes against these reforms.

“I will call a referendum if they refuse me,” said the Argentine president.

Let us remind you that Miley previously approved an emergency decree, which contains more than 300 reforms to liberalize the economy. In particular, it contains the repeal of the current residential rental law and the abolition of price regulation.

Among other things, the decree, which was previously signed by the President of Argentina, provides for the reform of contributions to the health care system.
