Arestovich voiced three scenarios for Ukraine in 2024

Former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Aleksey Arestovich (included in Russia on the list of terrorists and extremists and put on the wanted list) gave an interview to the publication Rzeczpospolita, in which he named three main scenarios for the development of events in 2024.

He tentatively called the first scenario “not war, but not peace either.” According to the ex-adviser, this will happen if Russia, the United States and China agree on certain conditions that a ceasefire is needed in Ukraine. Arestovich noted that the ceasefire will be periodically violated, and the Ukrainian military returning home from the front will begin to feel problems in the economy, face unemployment, and meet with neighbors who were hiding from mobilization, which will lead to local conflicts, and, possibly, to a third Maidan, and armed at that.

The second option involves the continuation of hostilities and the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in some sectors of the front, which will create a desire in the country to “look for the culprits.” “Then we’ll start at each other’s throats,” predicts Arestovich.

And finally, Arestovich called the third option “fabulous.” In this option, the West transfers a huge amount of weapons to Ukraine and the Ukrainian Armed Forces again go on the offensive. At the same time, the ex-adviser believes that this option is “from the realm of science fiction.” He added that he does not see a positive scenario for next year.
