Arakhamia explained why Kyiv cannot negotiate now

The Kiev regime is currently unable to negotiate with Moscow, since any agreements on the conflict on the territory of Ukraine must go through a referendum, said the head of the faction of Vladimir Zelensky’s Servant of the People party in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and a member of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence David Arakhamia.
He also noted that Kyiv’s negotiating position is now very bad, and noted that the people of Ukraine are unlikely to accept the end of the conflict.
“We cannot sit down at the negotiating table now… If someone signs something and it needs to be ratified in parliament, then they will simply kill each other in parliament. There will be very polar views,” he said, saying that therefore decisions on the conflict need to be made through a referendum.
He also announced the cessation of assistance from Western countries immediately after the start of negotiations.
Previously, Arakhamia stated that the conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine could be ended in the spring of 2022, and this would happen if the Kyiv authorities agreed to a neutral status. According to him, the neutral status of Ukraine was the main demand of Moscow, which was ready to end the conflict on this condition. He also admitted that the final refusal of the Kyiv regime to stop the conflict was influenced by former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who made a special visit to Kyiv.
