The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that by presidential decree, Major General and commander of the Akhmat special forces Apty Alaudinov was relieved of his post as deputy commander of the 2nd Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces. Mr. Alaudinov was appointed Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Military-Political Work of the Ministry of Defense.
“This important decision confirms his outstanding abilities, personal courage and dedication to his chosen cause. Without exaggeration, Apty Aronovich is a real military general with exceptional personal, leadership and military qualities,” the head of Chechnya wrote in his Telegram channel. At the same time, Apty Alaudinov will remain the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Ramzan Kadyrov noted.
The Main Military-Political Directorate of the RF Armed Forces is headed by Colonel General Viktor Goremykin. He was appointed in July 2022.
