Antonov: US-centric financial system is unreliable

The American-centric financial system is unreliable, and the new package of sanctions against Russia confirms this, said Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
He noted that Russia manages to stop sanctions attacks, and countries that do not belong to the collective West can be convinced of the “unreliability and toxicity of the American-centric financial system,” the diplomat said.
According to Antonov, the new package of sanctions the White House is trying to “smooth out the growing criticism” of the restrictive policy of the White House.
“Even local Russophobes are extremely clear that it was not possible to bring down our economy and undermine the technological sovereignty of Russia,” the ambassador said, recalling that such an opinion is shared by the World Bank and the IMF.
The United States on Friday expanded the sanctions list for Russia. Mikhail Fridman, Pyotr Aven, German Khan, Alexei Kuzmichev, as well as the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) got into it.
