Antonov urged Washington to return nuclear weapons stationed abroad to the country

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov once again appealed to the US authorities, declaring the need to return to the territory of the United States all nuclear weapons deployed in other countries.
Earlier, American media reported that Washington could reduce the delivery time for modernized nuclear bombs to Europe. Antonov noted that after being deployed in Europe, these charges, despite their limited functionality, receive a new role, despite the fact that the Americans are trying to present them as tactical low-power charges.
In addition to returning nuclear weapons to the United States from abroad, Antonov also called for the elimination of foreign infrastructure for their storage and maintenance, and an end to the practice of testing the use of such ammunition with the involvement of military personnel from non-nuclear states as part of NATO’s “joint nuclear missions”. According to him, such “missions” are a violation of Washington’s obligations under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
The diplomat noted that Russian tactical nuclear charges do not pose a danger to the United States, as they are located in centralized storage facilities in Russia.
