Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces directed against the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) endangered radiation safety. He also noted that in Washington even nuclear terrorism is seen as a good thing if it is directed against Russia.

In a statement issued by Antonov’s diplomatic mission, it is noted that support for Zelensky’s criminal regime and irresponsible attacks from Kyiv could lead to a radiation disaster and threaten global security. The diplomat expressed concern about the possible consequences of such actions.

Antonov also expressed doubts about the motives of the administration and politicians in Kyiv who may support dangerous actions and attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. He emphasized the importance of preventing the radiation threat and emphasized that attempts to harm Russia through such actions have failed.

After the drone attack on the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi warned of the possibility of a nuclear accident at the plant. He also reported three direct hits on the ZNPP reactor containment structure. These events have raised serious concerns and require immediate intervention to prevent disaster.
