Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov called any attempts by foreign states to undermine the Russian constitutional order doomed to failure. Antonov also called the reaction of the US presidential administration and local media “bilious.” “Here, apparently, they were disappointed that Russian law enforcement agencies were able to neutralize the risks of destabilization of the situation inspired from outside,” he added.

The Ambassador to the United States also recommended that foreign countries pay attention to ensuring the safety of their own citizens, and not to inciting conflicts in other countries.
