How reports Channel One, Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov announced that many threats had been received against the Russian diplomatic mission.
According to him, this “flurry” of threats is connected with the upcoming presidential elections in the Russian Federation, which will be held in the next three days.
“We receive a lot of provocative calls and threats. We know that anti-Russian actions are planned, near embassies, consulates general, an attempt… – not to disrupt, it won’t work – but to complicate the holding of elections,” the ambassador said.
Let us recall that earlier Antonov called the statement of the US authorities about the need to help Ukraine’s strikes on Crimea as a de facto recognition of Washington’s participation in the conflict.
