Another Russian region introduces a ban on the launch of drones

The Governor of the Vologda Oblast Oleg Kuvshinnikov, in a publication on his official Telegram channel, announced that from September 1 of this year, a ban on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will begin to operate in the region. He noted that the corresponding decision was made at the operational headquarters of the region.
According to Kuvshinnikov, most of the Russian regions have already introduced a similar ban, and an exception to it is made only for certain state, municipal and law enforcement agencies where it is necessary to ensure security.
The head of the region emphasized that since the beginning of the special military operation (SVO) on the territory of Ukraine, UAVs have been actively used by the enemy to strike at the border and rear regions of the Russian Federation, as well as to collect intelligence information about civilian and military facilities, energy, transport and social infrastructure.
