Annual inflation in Russia from July 4 to July 10 accelerated to 3.59% against 3.43% a week earlier, follows from data Ministry of Economy. Rosstat informedthat in general in June annual inflation accelerated to 3.25% from 2.51% in May. Since the beginning of the month, the increase in prices by July 10 amounted to 0.20%, from the beginning of 2023 – 2.97%.
According to Rosstat, prices for sugar (+0.8%), chicken meat (+0.5%), rice (+0.4%), buckwheat and millet (+0.3%) increased in the last week of July. . Meanwhile, black tea (-0.8%), sunflower oil (-0.4%), milk, cheeses (-0.1%) fell in price. Gasoline prices rose by 0.4%, diesel fuel – by 0.1%. The cost of a flight in the economy class cabin has risen in price by 4.8%.
According to the Ministry of Economy, inflation in the consumer market in June amounted to 0.37%, price growth accelerated to 0.40%. In the segment of food products, prices slightly decreased – by 0.01%. The cost of non-food products increased by 0.42%. In the service sector, price growth slowed to 0.83% after 1.13% in May.
According to the forecast of the Ministry of Economy, in 2023 inflation in Russia will be 5.3%. The Central Bank expects inflation in the range of 4.5-6.5%. The regulator’s target for inflation is 4%.
