Angels and Demons – Style

“Kommersant Style” talks about unusual fragrances in the gothic style, which are guaranteed to become hits every fall.
The “charm of the eyes” of the season and the approaching Halloween lead to an inevitable interest in fragrances that are complex, atypical and even depressing – gothic comes to the fore.
Roman Romanenko, perfume expert at Rive Gauche, believes that Gothic is, first of all, an important and sublimely sensual style both in architecture and in the fine arts. “It has a lot of religious meaning, purity and spirituality, reflected in a somewhat minor format. And perfumers are, first of all, artists in the broad sense, architects who create their own castles in the air,” he says.
Autumn is conducive to reflection, including in the perfume aspect. Mysterious gothic scents are always complex, attracting with their strange notes like metal, wet earth, blood and incense, and, of course, with their characteristic packaging. Even if this aesthetic is close to you all year round and you constantly wear “vampire” nail polishes or black eyeliner, there are always notes in perfumery that will resonate in the soul of a true goth.
