“Our task is to make sure that those who left return as quickly as possible, with the exception of those who allowed themselves public attacks against our country and the armed forces. This is important for the country’s economy, for their families and loved ones,” United Russia told reporters.

Former State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin offered confiscate property from Russians who have left the country, “openly supporting the Nazis” and “insulting Russia.” “Such an approach is possible, but the wording of the elements of a criminal offense is necessary, it is necessary to make appropriate amendments to the Criminal Code,” Andrei Klishas, ​​head of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building, commented on this initiative.

Prior to this, the chairman of the Duma Control Committee, Oleg Morozov (United Russia), advocated the introduction, by court decision, of a ban on entry into Russia for those citizens of the Russian Federation who spoke negatively about their country or supported Ukraine in its conflict with Russia.
