little family murder, not to be confused with the mediocre French adaptation of the 2000s of Agatha Christie’s novel, is the very illustration of what the mixture of crime fiction and black comedy can give to see the best, provided it is trussed by good writers. Season 1, otherwise titled Little murder between brothers (in English, Guilt), broadcast in 2019 on Arte, was immediately seduced by its way of telling, combining care given to the plot, the image and the sound, darkness, extravagance, irony and self-mockery. Without ever overdoing it, she painted the portrait of two brothers as disharmonious as possible, forced by a common lack of courage to make the worst decision: to make up their homicide.
