How informs Lenta.ru, Head of the Energy Department of the Institute of Energy and Finance Yuri Rykov, in an interview with journalists, assessed Moscow’s possible steps to impose a ceiling on prices for Russian resources by Western countries.
In his opinion, the Kremlin will evaluate the cost that will be set by the West and, based on this, will form response steps.
“Statements that we will not sell oil to those countries that have introduced a ceiling have been heard for a long time. If the EU countries follow Poland and introduce a ceiling of $30, then Russia will definitely stop supplying it. If $65-70, then this is about the same prices at which we are now trading,” the expert said.
According to Rykov, it is now completely unclear what will happen to the idea of the ceiling and the reaction to its introduction.
