Military analyst Alexander Mikhailov in an interview with URA.RU said that it is possible that Kyiv will receive from the North Atlantic Alliance the status of a special member for the supply of American fourth-generation F-16 fighters.
According to him, it is quite possible that Ukraine will join NATO within the borders that are under the control of Kyiv. After that, the White House will be able to transfer planes to the Zelensky regime, knowing that in this case the fighters will not be targets for Russian air defense and aviation.
“There are many options being considered in the West at the moment. For example, they can claim that the part of Ukraine that is not controlled by Russia is part of NATO. They can take such actions in order to freeze the conflict,” Mikhailov stressed.
The analyst explained that after that, American weapons would be able to be transferred to Kyiv, knowing that they would not be hit by Russian air defense and missile defense systems, as well as aviation.
He clarified that America will continue to put pressure on Western countries in order to transfer its F-16s to Kyiv.
