Consequences can be extremely severe
On August 24, it became known that Poland refused to supply oil to an oil refinery (refinery) in the German city of Schwedt, explaining that the plant was owned by Rosneft. Analyst, international resource and energy market expert Vladimir Demidov is convinced that the main reason for the refusal of the Poles to supply oil is related to the ban on the purchase of Russian raw materials from the beginning of November this year, as well as the intention to fill their own storage facilities.
In conversation with NEWS.ru Demidov explained that in the EU now all countries are trying to fill their underground storage facilities as much as possible, and Poland is currently keeping all the oil that comes through the Druzhba and Druzhba-2 oil pipelines.
The expert noted that there is a reason for this, which is that the refinery in Schwedt is a half Russian company, and Poland will certainly use this. The analyst considers this to be a “cunning Polish plan”.
According to Demidov, the refinery in Schwedt provides about 60% of the needs of all of East Germany in fuel, so the consequences of the Poles’ refusal to supply oil can be extremely serious. The expert added that the oil reserves at the enterprise remained only for a few weeks of work, after which the GDR could begin secession from the FRG.
