An ongoing leak from the ammonia pipeline was reported in the Kharkiv region

Leakage of ammonia from the undermined pipeline Togliatti – Odessa continues. This was announced by the head of the Russian CAA of the Kharkiv region Vitaly Ganchev on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel.

“An ammonia pipeline was blown up on our territory, and bleeding of this ammonia is still going on there. And you yourself understand the situation in which people live there. They need help,” he said.cit. according to TASS).

According to Ganchev, now the military, if necessary, is evacuating people from the region where the leak occurs.

On June 7, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that on the evening of June 5, the Ukrainian DRG blew up the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline in the Masyutovka region of the Kharkov region. As a result of the incident, Russian servicemen were not injured, but there are wounded among the civilian population.

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova statedthat repair and restoration work is likely to take from one to three months with access to the site of damage. Experts interviewed by Vedomosti then notedthat it is hardly possible to resume the operation of the ammonia pipeline before the end of hostilities, and the failure of the main line will also minimize the chances of extending the grain deal.
