The exhibition “VKHUTEMAS: Avant-Garde Laboratory, 1920-1930s”, located near the “Little Ukraine” district, continued its work.
Recall that the opening of the exhibition of Russian avant-garde was supposed to take place on January 25, but the date was postponed indefinitely due to a large number of public complaints.
The fact is that the exhibition was to be held at the private university Cooper Union, which was accused of tactlessness by 750 teachers: the building of the educational institution is located close to the area where immigrants from Ukraine historically lived.
It is known that the exhibition of the Russian avant-garde will be supplemented in April with additional information to tell the story of the creation of projects from different points of view, including taking into account the geopolitical problematic nature of the event.
