“Sovremennik” announced the replacement of the play “The Gin Game” with Akhedzhakova

The Sovremennik Theater announced the replacement of the play The Gin Game, in which Liya Akhedzhakova plays. Instead of this performance, other productions will be shown, tickets for The Gin Game are valid, those wishing to return them must do so before February 13, informs theater.
On February 13, instead of The Gin Game, Three Comrades will be shown, on February 28 – “Dad”, on March 29 – “Intuition”.
This is not the first time when performances with the participation of Mrs. Akhedzhakova are filmed in Russia. So, at the end of 2022 was rescheduled performance “My grandson Benjamin” in St. Petersburg. Before that, in November, the Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Culture recommended reschedule the same show. The authorities then explained this recommendation by the wishes of citizens who were dissatisfied with “Liya Akhedzhakova’s statement against the military operation.”
At the end of February, it was reported that the actress allegedly transferred money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which Ms. Akhedzhakova herself denied.
