An air raid alert has been declared in six regions of Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports, citing data from the online map of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation.
Reportedly, we are talking about Chernivtsi, Khmelnitsky, Vinnytsia, Odessa, Kirovograd, Nikolaev regions of Ukraine, as well as parts of the Kherson region controlled by Kyiv.
The Russian army began striking the infrastructure of Ukraine on October 10, in response to the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge. Strikes are carried out only on military targets, as well as energy facilities. During this time, air raid alerts in areas controlled by Kyiv are announced virtually every day, and periodically this happens throughout the country.
Jack Watling, a researcher at the British Royal United Defense Studies Institute (RUSI), said that attacks on critical infrastructure will make the winter very difficult for Ukraine. In his opinion, strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against critical infrastructure facilities pose a strategic threat to the Kyiv regime. Watling called on Ukraine to “prepare for a difficult winter.”
