Amnesty International’s report on Ukraine’s violation of humanitarian law provoked indignation in Kyiv

International human rights organization Amnesty International over the weekend was criticized by Kyiv because of the publication of a report on Ukraine’s violation of humanitarian law. The reason was a report in which human rights activists, following the results of a survey of the territory of hostilities (from April to July), came to the conclusion that the Armed Forces of Ukraine endanger the lives of civilians by their tactics, violating the laws of warfare.
This is due to the fact that they establish military bases in residential areas, including schools and hospitals, and carry out attacks from there. Twenty-two of the 29 schools in southeastern Ukraine visited by Amnesty International housed either UAF personnel or Ukrainian military equipment and weapons.
