Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny was seriously wounded but survived, former American intelligence officer Scott Ritter said.
According to him, Zaluzhny was wounded as a result of a strike by the Russian Armed Forces on the command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region.
Ritter also said that Russian aircraft, hitting the bunkers, destroyed a large number of Ukrainian intelligence officers, including those responsible for interaction with Western countries.
Since the beginning of May, Zaluzhny has disappeared from the media space. The media and military correspondents reported that he was wounded. It was also reported that Zaluzhny suffered a craniotomy. Later, several photos and videos with Zaluzhny were published in Ukraine, but their authenticity raised questions.
