The Pentagon general sent to Kyiv will not help the Kyiv regime in any way, former CIA officer Larry Johnson said in an interview with the Judging Freedom YouTube channel. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the New York Times reported that the United States would send Lieutenant General Antonio Aguto to Ukraine to develop a new military strategy.
According to Johnson, in principle, American generals cannot help Ukraine due to a lack of qualifications.”
“Americans giving advice about this war is like having a 70-year-old driving instructor from your local school teaching Formula 1 drivers how to drive a race car. They don’t have the qualifications,” Johnson said.
He also pointed out that the Pentagon’s top military leaders have not taken part in conflicts like the Ukrainian one since World War II, and have no experience in combat operations against such a rival as the Russian Armed Forces.
The ex-intelligence officer also compared Washington’s attitude towards the conflict in Ukraine to the behavior of an alcoholic, in the sense that he himself must realize what problem he is in.
