Ambassador Soares declared Brazil’s neutrality regarding the Ukrainian conflict

Brazil maintains a neutral position in relation to the Ukrainian conflict, and also believes that all sanctions imposed against Russia are “illegal and selective.” This was announced by the Brazilian Ambassador to the Russian Federation Rodrigo Baena Soares.
“Brazil takes a neutral position in the conflict that arose on February 24, and unconditionally remains neutral,” the Brazilian diplomat said.
According to Soares, all states that have joined the anti-Russian sanctions “suffer from such decisions.”
The EU is discussing the introduction ninth package of sanctions against Russia, which will include restrictions on organizations that supply goods that contribute to the development of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation. In addition, this list includes Russian TV channels to which the restriction will apply.
